Responsibilities
- Help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. Drop off household items for donation, electronics for reuse or recycling and household hazardous waste for proper disposal.
- Pick up free bagged compost while supplies last and kitchen catchers for organics ($7 each – cash, debit and credit accepted).
- At Drop-Off Depot events, a safe motorized vehicle is required to drop off waste for disposal and all loads must be properly secured. Walk-ins, bicycles and manual transportation devices are not permitted.
- Any unsafe vehicles or unsecured loads will be refused entry.

Position: School Chapter Leader
As a School Chapter Lead, you will represent One Degree Cooler at your school and lead efforts to promote climate action, raise awareness, and mobilize students to contribute to meaningful change. This is a leadership role ideal for passionate, proactive individuals eager to make an impact in their community.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Establish and manage a One Degree Cooler chapter at your school.
- Engagement: Organize events, campaigns, and activities to encourage student involvement in climate action.
- Advocacy: Promote One Degree Cooler’s mission and initiatives, inspiring peers to take action.
- Collaboration: Work with the One Degree Cooler team and other chapter leads to share ideas, resources, and strategies.
- Education: Facilitate climate literacy programs, workshops, or presentations to inform students about climate change and sustainability.
- Reporting
- Provide regular updates
Qualifications:
- Passion for Climate Action: Enthusiasm for sustainability and addressing climate change.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team and inspire others to participate.
