What Is the Leadership Award
The One Degree Cooler Leadership Award recognizes outstanding youth leadership in climate action. Open to young people globally, this award celebrates those who demonstrate initiative, impact, and a commitment to a more sustainable future—whether through internships, volunteer work, or independent projects.

Who Can Apply
The Green Internships Award is open to all high school and university students. Whether you’ve completed a green internship through One Degree Cooler or elsewhere, you are eligible to apply. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and encourage youth who are passionate about creating a positive impact on the planet to showcase their work and leadership.
High school, gap year, or university students
Completed a green internship or volunteer role
Demonstrated commitment to sustainability or climate action
Participated in a climate-related internship or volunteer work with any organization
