Who can participate?

This hackathon is open to high school and university students, both in Canada and internationally.

Do I need to have AI or coding experience?

No prior AI or coding experience is required, but having some programming knowledge is helpful.

Do I need to have a team before registering?

No, you can register as an individual, and we’ll help match you with a team. If you already have a team, make sure all members register.

How many people can be on a team?

You can form teams of up to 4 people. You can team up with hackers from any school, country, or experience level. Teams can be formed before or during the event at hackers’ own discretion.

Is the event in person or virtual?

The hackathon will be in person at Myhal Center at the University of Toronto, or you can join virtually. You must choose either in-person or online attendance—applying for both is not allowed.

How much does it cost to attend this Hackathon?

Participation is completely free! We will also provide the resources and mentorship our hackers need to build something incredible.

How long is the hackathon?

The hackathon will last 36 hours, starting at 7pm o March 21st, and ending on March 23rd in the morning. However, be prepared to stay a few hours later for the closing ceremony.

For in-person participation, will hackers stay at the building overnight?

The building will remain open for hackers for the entire duration of the hackathon. You are welcome to stay overnight or leave if you prefer.
